Monkey Lyly made a mistake and her mother’s reaction when she discovered the truth…

Little Monkey Lyly was usually well-behaved, always eager to help her mother and follow the rules. But this morning, curiosity got the best of her. While her mother was busy in the kitchen, Lyly wandered into the garden, where she found a basket of freshly picked mangoes. Unable to resist the sweet smell, she climbed up and tried to grab one. In the process, the entire basket tipped over, spilling the mangoes across the yard—some even rolled into the mud.

Panicked and unsure what to do, Lyly tried to clean the mess herself. She picked up the fruits, wiped them with leaves, and tried to arrange them neatly. But the mud stains were too obvious, and the bruises on the fruit gave away her mistake. When her mother finally came outside and saw the mess, her eyes widened—not in anger, but in disbelief.

Lyly stood frozen, expecting a scolding. But her mother didn’t shout. Instead, she walked over, gently knelt down, and asked, “What happened, Lyly?” With teary eyes, Lyly confessed, “I just wanted to smell them… and one fell… then they all did. I’m so sorry, Mama.”

To Lyly’s surprise, her mother pulled her in for a warm hug. “Mistakes happen, my dear,” she said softly. “What matters is that you told the truth and tried to fix it.” That moment taught Lyly an important lesson—not just about being careful, but about honesty and responsibility.

Together, they washed the mangoes, saving what they could. Her mother even let her choose one to eat after lunch. Lyly felt proud, not because she was forgiven, but because she learned that love and understanding grow stronger when we own up to our actions.

And from that day forward, Lyly always remembered: even when she slipped up, her mother’s love would always guide her back.
