BiBi Tries to Be Brave Around Fish for LaLa But Fails Adorably

BiBi the baby monkey had always been a little shy when it came to new experiences—especially anything involving water. But today, he wanted to impress someone very special: LaLa. LaLa, the cheerful little monkey who adored playing near the pond, was excited to show BiBi the colorful fish swimming just beneath the surface.

“Come on, BiBi! They won’t bite!” LaLa giggled, standing at the edge of the water with a handful of food. The fish gathered quickly, their shiny bodies rippling beneath the water as they waited to be fed.

BiBi nervously crept closer, clutching a small banana he had brought as a gift. His big eyes widened as he saw the fish darting around so quickly. He tried to act brave—puffing out his tiny chest and standing tall—but the moment a fish splashed near his feet, BiBi jumped back with a loud squeal.

LaLa couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re so silly, BiBi! They just want food, not you!”

Blushing with embarrassment, BiBi tiptoed back toward the edge. “I’m not scared,” he whispered, though his trembling tail said otherwise. Determined to try again, he reached his hand out slowly to drop in the banana piece. But just as a fish leapt up to grab it—splash!—BiBi yelped, dropped the fruit, and tumbled backward into a soft patch of grass.

LaLa rushed over, worried for a second—until she saw BiBi sitting up with banana smudged on his face, looking both startled and utterly adorable. She burst into laughter and hugged him tightly.

“You tried, BiBi! That’s what matters most!” she smiled.

BiBi grinned shyly, feeling proud even in failure. That day, he might not have conquered his fear of fish—but he won something even better: LaLa’s heart and a moment they’d never forget.
