It was a quiet afternoon when little Bibi decided he wanted something warm and tasty to eat. The sky was cloudy, and the air smelled like rain. Bibi, always full of ideas, went to the kitchen and began gathering ingredients for a cozy meal. He picked fresh vegetables, some noodles, and a few spices he had seen Uncle Phong use before. With excitement on his face, he placed everything neatly on the table, ready to start cooking.
Just as Bibi was about to begin, the sky suddenly opened up and heavy rain began pouring down. The sound of thunder rumbled in the distance, and lightning lit up the darkened sky. Bibi looked out the window and then down at the ingredients. He sighed. He loved cooking, but the storm made him nervous, and using the stove during such heavy rain didn’t feel safe.
That’s when he had a brilliant idea — Uncle Phong!
Bibi rushed to the living room where Uncle Phong was relaxing with a cup of tea. “Uncle Phong! I prepared everything for cooking, but it’s raining so hard. Can you please help me cook today?” Bibi asked with hopeful eyes.
Uncle Phong smiled warmly. “Of course, Bibi. You did all the hard work already! Now let’s turn it into something delicious.”
Together, they went to the kitchen. Uncle Phong skillfully handled the cooking while Bibi stood by, helping stir and sprinkle the seasonings. The warm smell of food filled the house, making it feel cozy even with the rain pounding outside.
Soon, they had a big pot of hot noodle soup ready. Bibi proudly served it in bowls and shared it with the family. As they all sat together, eating and listening to the rain, Bibi felt proud and happy.
He had turned a rainy day into a warm and loving memory—with a little help from Uncle Phong.
