One breezy afternoon, curious little Bibi wandered a bit farther than usual during her outdoor playtime. Following the sound of rustling leaves and chirping birds, she stumbled upon an old, forgotten house at the edge of the village. Its paint was peeling, the windows dusty, and vines had crept up its walls like nature reclaiming its space. But what caught Bibi’s attention was the overgrown garden and a small, murky fish pond nestled in the backyard.
Bibi tiptoed closer, her eyes wide with wonder. She had always been adventurous, and this strange place only fed her curiosity. As she leaned over the edge of the pond, she gasped in surprise. Floating on the water’s surface were bright splashes of color—red, orange, and yellow. At first, she thought they were old toys or leaves, but upon closer look, she realized they were fruits! Small apples, guavas, and even a few ripe mangoes bobbed gently among the lily pads.
“Who put fruits in a fish pond?” Bibi whispered to herself, eyes sparkling with amazement. She carefully reached out and picked up a shiny red apple, still fresh and unbitten. Some of the fruits had fallen from nearby trees, but others seemed to have been placed there intentionally. It was a mystery!
Suddenly, she heard a soft splash and spotted a little fish swimming beneath the floating fruit. It seemed happy, nibbling bits that had softened in the water. Bibi laughed, realizing that this strange pond had somehow become a secret snack bar for the pond’s fish.
Excited by her discovery, Bibi ran home to tell her family. They were astonished, and the next day, they all returned to the abandoned house together. They cleaned up the area a bit and made sure the fish had clean water and safe food.
What began as an ordinary adventure turned into a magical surprise. Bibi not only discovered floating fruit in a forgotten pond—she gave a second life to a hidden corner of nature.
