How wonderful! Monkey Lyly works hard with her mother to renovate her new house.

Monkey Lyly couldn’t contain her excitement when she saw the new house with her mother. Although it still needed a lot of work, Lyly saw potential in every corner. The walls were a bit dusty, the floor needed cleaning, and some of the furniture was old and worn, but none of that mattered to Lyly. What mattered most was that she would be building something special with her mom — their very own cozy home.

Early the next morning, Lyly grabbed a broom almost twice her size and started sweeping the front porch. Her mother laughed warmly, surprised at how serious Lyly looked while cleaning. “You’re such a little helper,” her mother said with a smile. Lyly nodded proudly, not missing a single leaf or speck of dirt.

Together, they washed the windows until they sparkled, rearranged the furniture, and even added some cheerful curtains to the living room. Monkey Lyly especially loved helping choose colors for the walls — she picked sunny yellow for the kitchen and light blue for her bedroom. “It will feel like the sky is always inside,” she said sweetly.

Lyly’s favorite part of the renovation was decorating her room. She carefully placed her stuffed animals on the shelf, hung up drawings she made, and folded her tiny clothes neatly into drawers. Every little thing was filled with love and effort.

By the end of the week, the house felt completely transformed. It wasn’t just cleaner or brighter — it felt full of life. Lyly and her mother sat on their small porch swing, admiring all their hard work. The breeze was gentle, and the sky was glowing orange as the sun set.

“We did it, Mama,” Lyly whispered, leaning her head on her mother’s shoulder.

“Yes, we really did,” her mother replied, holding her close.

It wasn’t just a house anymore — it was a home, built with teamwork, laughter, and a whole lot of love.
