BiBi had always been the compassionate one among her friends. Whether it was a wounded bird or a scruffy kitten, she was always ready to help. One bright, sunny afternoon, while strolling near the pond in the park, she noticed a little duck limping on one of its legs. Its small body waddled slowly, and BiBi could tell it was in pain.
“Oh no, you poor thing,” BiBi muttered to herself, crouching down to get a better look. The duck had a visible limp, and its leg seemed to be hurting with every step it took. BiBi had always loved animals, and this little duck was no exception.
Without hesitation, she scooped it up gently, cradling it in her arms. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’re okay,” she whispered soothingly to the duck. She wasn’t sure what to do, but she knew she had to try something.
After a quick stop by her house, BiBi grabbed the bottle of mentholated oil from the bathroom cabinet. She had used it herself for muscle soreness and knew it had soothing properties. It wasn’t much, but it was the only thing she had on hand that might help ease the duck’s pain.
Back at the pond, BiBi carefully massaged a small amount of mentholated oil onto the duck’s sore leg. The menthol seemed to have a calming effect almost immediately, and the duck relaxed in her hands. BiBi smiled, hoping that the oil would work its magic.
As she continued to gently rub the oil, the little duck’s limp started to lessen. After a few minutes, it began to waddle around a little more confidently. BiBi clapped her hands in excitement. “You’re getting better!” she cheered.
By the time the sun started to set, the duck was walking with barely a limp. BiBi felt a sense of pride and relief. “You’re free to go now, little one,” she said, gently setting the duck down at the edge of the pond.
As the duck waddled off toward its friends, BiBi couldn’t help but smile. It was a small act of kindness, but it made all the difference in the world.
