In the heart of the jungle, lived a cheerful and clever monkey named Pupu. Everyone in the forest knew Pupu for his kindness and playful spirit, but he was especially known for the strong bond he shared with his best friend, a gentle parrot named Tiko.
One day, while flying through the trees, Tiko injured his wing. He crash-landed near the riverbank and let out a soft cry. Pupu, who was gathering bananas nearby, heard the sound and rushed to his friend.
“Oh no, Tiko!” Pupu exclaimed, carefully cradling the parrot in his furry arms. “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of you.”
Pupu built a cozy nest of leaves and soft moss for Tiko to rest. Every day, he brought fresh berries, juicy fruits, and even found herbs known to heal. He gently cleaned Tiko’s wing and kept him company with funny stories and songs. Even when the other monkeys called him to play, Pupu stayed by Tiko’s side.
The jungle creatures watched in admiration. “Pupu is a true friend,” said the wise old turtle. “He knows that real friendship means being there when it matters most.”
Weeks passed, and slowly, Tiko’s wing began to heal. One bright morning, he flapped his wings and soared a few feet off the ground.
“I’m flying again!” Tiko chirped joyfully.
Pupu clapped and jumped with excitement. “You did it, Tiko!”
Tiko perched on a low branch and looked at his friend with gratitude. “I couldn’t have done it without you, Pupu. You cared for me like no one else could.”
Pupu grinned and replied, “That’s what friends are for!”
From that day on, Tiko and Pupu were closer than ever. Whether swinging through trees or flying high above the forest, they always stayed together, showing everyone that the best friendships are built on love, patience, and care.
