The vendor smiled and offered them a warm plate of sticky rice with mango, a cup of sweet soy milk, and a crispy banana fritter. Lyly was amazed. She had never tasted anything quite like it. Monkeys passing by stared in disbelief. “Is that Lyly?” one whispered. “Eating on the sidewalk?!”
