Monkey Lyly got dizzy when she came back from the market with her mom

It was a sunny afternoon in the jungle village, and little monkey Lyly was excited. Today, she was finally allowed to go to the market with her mom for the first time. Clinging to her mother’s hand, Lyly swung her tail happily as they hopped from tree to tree toward the bustling jungle market.

Bright colors, loud chattering animals, and the delicious scent of ripe fruits surrounded them. Lyly’s eyes sparkled as she looked around. She tasted sweet bananas, tried on a flower crown from a parrot vendor, and even danced to the beat of drums played by a group of raccoons.

But the market was crowded and noisy. As the sun beat down on her and the smells of too many foods swirled together, Lyly started to feel strange. Her head wobbled a little. The colors seemed to spin, and the sounds grew distant. She blinked a few times and held onto her mom’s tail tighter.

When they finally left the market and returned home, Lyly stumbled as she stepped off the last branch.

“Lyly… are you okay?” her mom asked, quickly catching her before she fell.

Lyly sat down on a soft patch of moss, rubbing her forehead. “I feel… dizzy,” she mumbled.

Her mom knelt beside her, gently placing a cool leaf on her head. “It’s okay, sweetheart. I think the heat and the excitement were just too much. Your body needs to rest.”

Lyly nodded slowly. Her little heart still pounded from the rush of the day. She lay down on the moss as her mom hummed a quiet tune.

After a short nap and some fresh coconut water, Lyly felt much better. She looked up at her mom and smiled sleepily. “Can we go to the market again next week?”

Her mom laughed softly. “Of course, Lyly. But next time, we’ll go early in the morning—and maybe skip the dancing raccoons.”
