CUTIS gently opened the back door, wincing at the soft creak. He froze, holding his breath, but the house stayed quiet. Relieved, he sneaked outside, where the cool night air brushed against his face. The garden shimmered under the moonlight, and the fruits looked especially tempting. CUTIS rubbed his hands together, ready for action.
He carefully picked a basket and began collecting shiny tomatoes, sweet bananas, and juicy mangoes. Every rustling leaf made his heart race. At one point, a frog suddenly jumped past him, causing CUTIS to squeak and nearly drop the basket. He covered his mouth, trying not to laugh at himself, then continued his mission with even more caution.
While reaching for a mango, CUTIS stretched too far and lost his balance. He landed softly in a pile of leaves, which made a loud crunch. CUTIS froze again, eyes wide, waiting to see if anyone would wake up. After a few long seconds, he sighed in relief and burst into silent laughter, shaking with excitement.
