Monkey Lyly stubbornly takes a nap in the place she chooses and the ending…

It was a warm afternoon, and the entire house seemed to be winding down for a little rest. Mom had just finished cleaning up after lunch and was ready to get Monkey Lyly down for her nap. But of course, nothing with Lyly was ever that simple.

“Come on, sweetie,” Mom said gently, pointing toward Lyly’s cozy little bed in the corner of the room. It was soft, covered in her favorite blanket, and surrounded by her stuffed animals. But Lyly crossed her arms, puffed her cheeks, and shook her head.

“Nooo,” she whined, stomping her tiny feet. She didn’t want to nap in her bed today. She had already spotted a new “perfect” place to nap — the laundry basket.

Yes, the laundry basket. Filled with warm clothes fresh out of the dryer, it looked like a fluffy mountain to Lyly. Before Mom could stop her, she climbed right in, curled up like a cat, and closed her eyes with a satisfied grin.

“Lyly… that’s not where you’re supposed to sleep,” Mom sighed, trying to gently lift her out. But Lyly clung to a sweater like her life depended on it, whining louder. Defeated, Mom threw her hands in the air. “Fine! One nap. But only today!”

Hours passed. The house grew quieter as Lyly snored softly, snug in her mountain of clothes. Mom peeked in occasionally, shaking her head but smiling. When Lyly finally woke up, her hair was sticking in all directions from static and lint covered her fur. She blinked groggily, looked at her mom, and muttered, “Comfy…”

But when Lyly tried the same trick the next day, she found the laundry basket was empty — no more fluffy mountain. Her bed suddenly didn’t seem so bad anymore.

From that day on, Lyly still liked to choose where she napped—but Mom always made sure her real bed had a little extra warmth and fluff, just in case. And Lyly? She never forgot her legendary laundry basket nap.
