Lyly has always been clever, but that afternoon she revealed a whole new level of mischief. It started quietly, which should have been my first warning. The house was unusually calm, and Lyly sat on the floor nibbling a banana, her eyes darting around as if checking for secret cameras.
Then the hiding began.

I tried to stay serious, but it was impossible. Every time I shifted position, Lyly froze. She widened her eyes, pretended to chew, and dramatically swallowed nothing at all. The performance alone was comedy gold. When she realized I was laughing, she looked offended—then joined in with a mischievous grin.
As if that wasn’t enough, Lyly changed locations. She hid snacks in her sleeve, inside a toy box, and even behind her own back. At one point, she stood up and shook her arm, listening carefully to make sure nothing fell out. Satisfied, she scurried away like a tiny mastermind escaping the scene of a crime.
The funniest moment came when she tried to “rediscover” her snacks later. She acted surprised each time, gasping dramatically and clapping her hands as if she had found a miracle. One by one, she reclaimed her hidden treasures, munching happily and watching my reaction.
By the end, I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Lyly sat beside me, crumbs on her face, eyes sparkling with triumph. Her snack-hiding skills may not fool anyone—but her playful intelligence and mischievous heart made the day unforgettable. 🐒💛
