Mom Confused When She Couldn’t Find Baby! What Did CUTIS & BuEm Do?

The house was unusually quiet that morning. Mom finished her chores and called out for Baby, expecting the familiar cheerful response. But there was nothing—no laughter, no tiny footsteps, no playful sounds. She checked the living room, then the bedroom, her voice growing louder each time she called. Still, Baby was nowhere to be found.

A flicker of worry crossed Mom’s face. She hurried through the house, opening doors and peeking behind furniture. That was when she noticed CUTIS and BuEm sitting calmly in the corner, exchanging secretive glances. Normally full of energy, the two were strangely quiet. Mom’s heart sank. “Where is Baby?” she asked, trying to stay calm.

CUTIS tilted his head innocently while BuEm clapped his hands, pretending not to understand. They led Mom toward the kitchen, then suddenly turned back, as if unsure which way to go. Mom followed, growing more confused by the second. The house felt too still, and her worry deepened.

Then, a faint sound reached her ears—a soft giggle, quickly stifled. Mom stopped. CUTIS and BuEm froze, then burst into laughter. Unable to hold the secret any longer, BuEm grabbed Mom’s hand and pulled her toward the storage room at the back of the house.

There, behind a stack of blankets and pillows, was Baby—safe, smiling, and clearly enjoying the adventure. CUTIS had built a cozy little “hideout,” complete with toys and soft cushions. Baby peeked out proudly, as if this had been the greatest game ever invented.

Relief flooded Mom’s face, quickly followed by a mix of laughter and gentle scolding. She hugged Baby tightly, then turned to CUTIS and BuEm, who were now giggling uncontrollably. They explained through excited gestures that they wanted to surprise Mom with a fun game of hide-and-seek.

In the end, Mom couldn’t stay upset. The house filled with laughter once more, and she reminded everyone of an important rule—surprises are fun, but safety comes first. That day, CUTIS and BuEm learned that even playful adventures should never make Mom worry.
