Monkey Lyly woke up with the sun gently warming her cheeks, stretching her tiny arms as she blinked sleepily. It was another beautiful morning—but today felt different. Today, she had two important people fighting for her affection: her beloved monkey mom, and the ever-present cameraman who always spoiled her with treats and attention.
Lyly hopped down from her cozy sleeping spot and scampered straight to her mom. Mom greeted her with soft grunts and a warm hug, wrapping her long arms around Lyly’s small body. Nothing in the world compared to the comfort of a mother’s touch. Mom groomed Lyly’s hair gently, pulling loose leaves from her fur and giving her the kind of care only a mother could offer. Lyly closed her eyes, melting into the moment.
But just when she thought she might stay with Mom all morning, she heard a familiar sound—the soft click of the camera turning on. Her ears perked up instantly. The cameraman was here!
Lyly turned, spotted him, and immediately raced toward him with an excited squeal. The cameraman laughed as Lyly leaped into his arms. He scratched her back in her favorite spot, and Lyly wiggled happily. With him, there were snacks, games, and endless entertainment. He always knew how to make her feel special, capturing her cutest moments and showering her with affection.
For the rest of the morning, Lyly bounced back and forth between the two. With Mom, she felt safe and loved. With the cameraman, she felt playful and adored. Each time she went to one, the other would call her back with a gentle gesture or a familiar sound.
By afternoon, Lyly sat on a branch, munching on a treat, deep in thought. How could she ever choose who she loved more? Mom gave her unconditional love…and the cameraman gave her joy and fun.
In the end, Lyly realized the truth—she didn’t need to choose at all. Her little heart had room for both of them.
And when she jumped down again, she made sure to run to Mom first…and then straight into the cameraman’s waiting arms.
