How Elegant! Monkey Lyly Decorated Her House with Colorful Pictures That Made Her Mother Laugh

Monkey Lyly had always been creative, but today she woke up with a spark of inspiration brighter than ever. As soon as the sun peeked through the window, she jumped out of bed, clapped her tiny hands, and announced to herself, “Today, I will make my house beautiful!”

Her mother, who was preparing breakfast, didn’t think much of it—Lyly was always full of funny ideas. But she had no idea what her daughter had planned.

After breakfast, Lyly gathered her supplies: crayons she had hidden under her pillow, colorful papers she collected from old magazines, and even a bit of glitter she “borrowed” from her mom’s drawer. She sat in the center of the room with great seriousness, tongue sticking out as she focused. Every stroke of crayon made her tail wiggle with excitement.

She drew flowers, hearts, bananas, and even a portrait of herself wearing a pink dress. When she finished each masterpiece, she held it up proudly, admiring it like a real artist. Then came the fun part—decorating the house.

Lyly marched around with tape in her tiny hands, sticking pictures to every wall she could reach. The living room got a giant banana family portrait. The doorframe received a row of rainbow dots. Even the refrigerator ended up with a dazzling glitter border. Wherever Lyly went, she giggled at her own creativity, imagining how surprised her mother would be.

But the biggest artwork of all was saved for last. Using all her concentration, Lyly drew a beautiful picture of her and her mother hugging. She placed that one right in the center of the wall—her “gallery’s heart,” she said proudly.

When her mother finally walked into the room, she froze for a second. There were colors everywhere—glitter on the floor, tape on the table, drawings on every surface. And in the middle of it all stood Lyly, smiling so wide her cheeks puffed up.

“Lyly… what did you do?” her mother asked, trying not to laugh.

“I decorated! Isn’t it elegant?” Lyly announced confidently.

Her mother burst into laughter—not because it looked perfect, but because it was so beautifully Lyly. She lifted her daughter into her arms and said, “It’s the most elegant house in the world.”

And from that moment on, Lyly’s colorful gallery stayed exactly where it was—a joyful reminder of her bright, creative little heart.
