Dad Took Cubis to the Vet for a Routine Checkup!

It was a bright morning when Dad called out, “Cubis, time to go!” The little monkey tilted his head curiously, munching on his favorite fruit. He didn’t know that today wasn’t just another play day—it was the day for his routine checkup at the vet. As soon as he saw Dad holding the carrier bag, Cubis’s eyes widened. He had been to the vet before, and he knew that strange place smelled funny and full of other animals!

Still, Dad gently picked him up, reassuring him with a smile. “Don’t worry, buddy, it’s just a checkup.” On the way there, Cubis clung tightly to Dad’s arm, peeking out the car window at the passing scenery. His nervous little chirps made everyone laugh—it was as if he was trying to ask, “Are you sure this is necessary?”

When they arrived, the waiting room was filled with curious sights and sounds—barking dogs, meowing cats, and the rustle of feathers from a parrot nearby. Cubis sat close to Dad, occasionally hiding his face in his hands whenever someone looked his way.

Finally, it was their turn. The vet smiled warmly and greeted Cubis. “Hello there, little one! Let’s see how healthy you are.” Cubis stayed still at first, but when the stethoscope touched his chest, he let out a soft squeak and tried to peek at what the doctor was doing. Dad held his hand and laughed, saying, “You’re doing great, Cubis.”

The vet checked his heartbeat, eyes, teeth, and fur—everything looked perfect! Cubis had grown stronger and healthier since his last visit. When the doctor gave him a small treat as a reward, his nervousness disappeared instantly. He munched happily, tail wagging in excitement.

On the way home, Cubis sat proudly on Dad’s lap, looking out the window with satisfaction. He might not have enjoyed the visit, but he sure loved the praise afterward. That day, Dad was proud, and Cubis learned that the vet wasn’t so scary after all—just another way of showing love and care for him.
