Smart Cubis Takes Care of Seriously Ill Dad!

Cubis, the little puppy with bright eyes and a gentle heart, noticed something unusual one morning. His dad, who always woke up early to feed him and play, was lying quietly in bed, his face pale and weak. Cubis tilted his head, sensing something was wrong. His tail didn’t wag like it usually did—today, he felt worried.

Dad tried to smile but could barely lift his hand. “Cubis… I’m not feeling well,” he whispered. The puppy whined softly, placing his tiny paw on Dad’s chest as if to say, Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you.

From that moment, Cubis became more than just a playful companion—he became Dad’s little nurse. He fetched a bottle of water, dragging it clumsily across the floor until it reached Dad’s side. When Dad coughed, Cubis barked anxiously, running back and forth until Mom came with medicine. At night, when the fever grew worse, Cubis curled tightly against Dad, sharing his warmth, refusing to leave his side even for a moment.

Neighbors who visited were amazed. “What a smart dog! He understands everything,” they whispered. Cubis didn’t need words—his eyes, filled with love, spoke louder than anything. He seemed to know exactly when Dad needed comfort, when he needed silence, and when he needed to be reminded he wasn’t alone.

Days passed, and thanks to medicine, rest, and Cubis’s devoted care, Dad slowly regained his strength. One morning, when Dad finally managed to sit up without pain, Cubis barked joyfully and spun in circles, his tail wagging like a flag of victory. Dad laughed, his voice stronger than it had been in weeks. “I’m better now, Cubis… thanks to you.”

Cubis climbed onto his lap, resting his head on Dad’s chest, his mission accomplished. He had proved that love and loyalty can sometimes heal better than any medicine. From that day on, Dad often said, “I thought I was taking care of Cubis, but it turns out, he’s the one taking care of me.”
