The sun had just started peeking through the curtains, but Dad was still fast asleep, snuggled deep under the blankets. That didn’t sit well with Cubus, who had already decided it was playtime. With his mischievous little spark, he hatched a plan to wake Dad up—his way.
First, Cubus climbed onto the bed and sat quietly on Dad’s chest, staring down at him with big, curious eyes. When that didn’t work, he leaned in and gave Dad a tiny poke on the cheek with his paw. No response. So Cubus upped his game. He let out a loud squeak right into Dad’s ear, tilting his head afterward as if to say, “Well? Are you awake yet?”
Still nothing. Dad simply groaned and rolled to the other side. Cubus wasn’t about to give up. With a burst of determination, he bounced onto Dad’s pillow and began tugging gently at his hair, as though it were a new toy. That finally got a chuckle from Dad, but he stayed stubbornly half-asleep.
That’s when Cubus pulled out his funniest trick. He darted under the blanket and popped his little head out right at Dad’s chin, his nose twitching against his face. Then, with perfect comedic timing, he let out a playful sneeze. Dad startled awake, blinking in surprise, only to see Cubus staring at him proudly, as if to say, “Mission accomplished!”
Dad couldn’t help but laugh. The silly little wake-up call had done its job. He scooped Cubus into his arms, giving him a gentle cuddle. “Alright, alright, you win,” Dad said with a smile. “Time to get up.”
Cubus purred happily, his mission complete. To him, it wasn’t just about waking Dad up—it was about starting the day with love, laughter, and a little bit of mischief.
