Monkey Lyly refused to take a bath because it was cold and it made me laugh out loud.

Bath time with Monkey Lyly is always an adventure, but on this particular day, it turned into a comedy show. Usually, Lyly enjoys splashing in the warm water, playing with bubbles, and even trying to steal the soap. But when she realized the water was colder than she expected, her reaction was priceless.

The moment I tried to lower her into the tub, Lyly clung tightly to my arm, shaking her little head furiously. She made a series of dramatic faces—first wide-eyed shock, then an exaggerated pout, and finally a look that clearly said, “No way!” I couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Instead of cooperating, Lyly wrapped her tiny arms around my neck like a stubborn child refusing to go to school. Every time I gently tried to place her down, she would lift her feet high into the air, making sure they didn’t touch the water. Her determination not to get wet was so strong that it looked like a little comedy sketch.

Finally, she started making funny noises, chattering as if she was trying to argue with me. It was as though she was saying, “Why should I bathe in cold water? I’ll pass, thank you very much!” Her personality shone through in that moment—smart, expressive, and oh-so dramatic.

After a few minutes of back and forth, I gave in and warmed the water. The instant she dipped her toes into the cozy bath, her attitude changed completely. Suddenly, Lyly was splashing happily, playing with the bubbles, and looking at me as if nothing had happened.

I couldn’t stop laughing at the whole scene. Only Lyly could turn something as simple as bath time into such a performance. She may be small, but her personality is larger than life, and every day with her brings new laughter.

That day reminded me of one simple truth: life with Lyly is never boring—and sometimes, even a refusal to take a bath can become a moment of pure joy.
