Monkey Lyly was always full of curiosity. From the moment she opened her eyes in the morning, she was looking for something new to explore. One sunny afternoon, while playing outside, she noticed something unusual—the neighbor’s gate had been left slightly open. Her eyes lit up with excitement. She had never been inside that yard before, and the unknown tempted her more than ever.
Lyly tiptoed closer, glancing back to see if anyone was watching. When she saw no one around, she made her move. Slipping through the gate with a mischievous grin, she entered a whole new world. The neighbor’s garden was filled with colorful flowers, fluttering butterflies, and strange new smells. Lyly’s little hands reached out to touch everything—leaves, stones, and even a pair of forgotten shoes near the porch.
She climbed a low bench, peeked through a window, and even tried to open a basket sitting on the patio. Everything fascinated her. But while Lyly was enjoying her secret adventure, the neighbor’s dog, a gentle old retriever, woke up from his nap and spotted her. He didn’t bark, just slowly approached, curious about the tiny visitor.
Startled, Lyly froze for a moment. But when she realized the dog meant no harm, she relaxed and offered him a friendly pat. Meanwhile, the neighbor, hearing soft noises outside, came to the door—and was shocked to see Lyly exploring the yard!
“Lyly! What are you doing here?” the neighbor laughed, gently leading her back toward the gate.
At that moment, Lyly’s mom came running, clearly worried. She scooped Lyly up and sighed in relief. Though it had been a harmless adventure, her curious little monkey had given everyone quite a scare.
From that day on, the gate was kept closed—but Lyly’s curious spirit was still wide open, always ready for her next little adventure.
