Lucky Poki was lulled to sleep by his mother

It had been a long, playful day for little Poki. From climbing trees to chasing butterflies and rolling around in the grass, his tiny body was finally growing tired. As the sun dipped below the horizon and the golden light softened, Poki’s eyes began to droop. His mischievous energy faded, replaced by quiet yawns and slow blinks.

His mother noticed right away. With gentle hands, she scooped him into her arms, softly stroking his back. Poki let out a small sigh, curling into her chest where he felt safest. The rhythmic beat of her heart and the warmth of her touch began to soothe him instantly.

She started humming a soft lullaby, one she used to sing when Poki was even smaller. The familiar melody floated in the air like a breeze, wrapping around them both in a cocoon of peace. Poki’s eyelids fluttered, and he let out a tiny noise of contentment, barely awake but not quite asleep.

With each passing moment, his breathing slowed. His mother continued to hum, rocking him gently side to side while her fingers brushed through his soft fur. There was a look of pure love on her face as she watched her baby give in to sleep.

The world around them faded — no barking dogs, no buzzing insects — only the quiet comfort of a mother and her child. Poki’s little paw twitched once as if reaching for something in a dream, then stilled.

Finally, with a soft exhale, Poki was completely asleep, nestled in the arms of the one who loved him most.

Lucky Poki, indeed. Not just for the lullaby or the cozy embrace, but for having a mother whose love was a constant lull, calming his heart and guiding him gently into dreams. It was a moment of pure tenderness — the kind of moment that stays in memory long after the night falls.
