It was a warm afternoon when Lala, a small fluffy pup with golden fur, began to feel uncomfortable. She scratched behind her ears and wiggled around on the carpet, trying to relieve the itch. Her fur felt sticky, and the heat only made it worse. She let out a small whimper, hoping someone would notice.
Thuy, her kind and gentle owner, was sitting nearby reading a book. She looked up and immediately noticed Lala’s discomfort.
“What’s wrong, sweet girl?” Thuy asked, kneeling beside her. Lala gave a soft bark and nudged her paw toward the bathroom. She trusted Thuy more than anyone and knew she would help.
Understanding instantly, Thuy smiled and said, “Alright, bath time it is.”
Thuy filled the tub with warm water and added a few drops of lavender pet shampoo, which always helped calm Lala’s sensitive skin. Lala stood patiently as Thuy gently lifted her into the tub. The moment the water touched her fur, Lala sighed with relief.
Thuy carefully lathered the shampoo into Lala’s coat, making sure to clean every spot while avoiding her eyes and ears. “You’ve got some itchy spots, huh? Let’s make sure we take extra good care today,” she said softly.
After rinsing off the suds, Thuy wrapped Lala in a fluffy towel and gave her a soothing rubdown. She brushed Lala’s fur gently, removing any loose hair and leaving her coat smooth and shiny.
Once dry, Thuy gave Lala a special treat and placed her on a cool, clean blanket. She even dabbed a little coconut oil on the dry patches of Lala’s skin.
Lala stretched out happily, no longer itchy or uncomfortable. She looked up at Thuy with grateful eyes and gave her a soft lick on the hand.
“Feeling better now?” Thuy asked.
Lala wagged her tail and gave a happy bark. She felt cool, clean, and most importantly, loved.
