The morning began like any other, until Lala noticed something strange. Bon, the fluffiest and most spoiled member of the family, was being brushed extra carefully. Mom hummed softly while laying out Bon’s tiny towel, a scented brush, and even a little bow. Lala sat on the floor, blinking her big curious eyes. Something was definitely happening.
When Mom gently lifted Bon into her arms and said, “We’re going to the spa,” Lala froze. Spa? That word sounded important. Her ears perked up, and her mouth fell open in shock. As Mom headed toward the door, Lala hurried after them, her little feet pattering across the floor in panic.
At the doorway, Lala grabbed Mom’s leg tightly, refusing to let go. She looked up with a mixture of confusion and jealousy, as if to say, Why Bon and not me? Mom laughed softly and tried to explain, but Lala wasn’t convinced. She puffed her cheeks and crossed her arms, watching Bon enjoy the attention like a tiny celebrity.
Once Mom finally left, Lala sat near the window, staring outside with a dramatic sigh. Every passing sound made her jump. Was Bon okay? Was the spa fun? Did Bon miss her? Lala’s imagination ran wild, and she even brought Bon’s favorite toy to the couch, hugging it tightly for comfort.
After what felt like forever, the door finally opened. Mom stepped inside with Bon wrapped in a soft towel, smelling fresh and looking extra fluffy. Lala’s eyes lit up instantly. She rushed forward, circling Bon, sniffing curiously, then gently touching Bon’s fur in amazement.
Her jealousy vanished in seconds, replaced by pure delight. Lala clapped her hands and let out a happy squeal, clearly approving the spa transformation. She leaned in close, as if listening to Bon’s “spa stories,” then proudly sat beside her like a loyal guardian.
That day, Lala learned something important: even if she wasn’t the one going to the spa, love doesn’t disappear. And judging by her wide smile and wagging excitement, she was already hoping that next time… Mom might take both of them. 💕
