Every morning in the house followed the same rule: Dad did not wake up easily. Alarm clocks rang, phones buzzed, and sunlight spilled across the bed, yet Dad slept on, snoring peacefully as if nothing in the world could disturb him. But one morning, Super Cubis decided it was time to take matters into his own tiny hands.
Cubis woke up early, full of energy and mischief. He glanced at the clock, then at Dad, and a playful idea sparked in his eyes. Quietly, he climbed onto the bed, stepping carefully to avoid detection. Dad didn’t move. Encouraged, Cubis tiptoed closer and studied Dad’s face like a scientist preparing an experiment.
First, Cubis tried the gentle approach. He poked Dad’s cheek. No reaction. He tugged at Dad’s blanket and even whispered “Dad…” in his soft monkey voice. Still nothing. Cubis frowned, then grinned. Clearly, this required a super plan.
He jumped off the bed and returned with Dad’s slippers, placing one carefully on Dad’s chest. Then he grabbed a pillow and gently dropped it—plop!—right on Dad’s face. Dad only rolled over, mumbling in his sleep. Cubis covered his mouth, trying not to laugh.
Not giving up, Super Cubis climbed onto Dad’s back and began giving what he believed was a “professional morning massage.” His tiny hands patted, pressed, and tickled. Dad twitched but refused to wake. That’s when Cubis spotted the ultimate secret weapon: Dad’s water bottle.
With heroic determination, Cubis lifted it with both hands and tipped just a little. A cold splash landed on Dad’s neck. Instantly, Dad shot upright with a loud gasp. “What happened?!”
Cubis burst into laughter, bouncing happily on the bed. He clapped his hands, clearly proud of his success. Dad stared at the soaked sheets, then at Cubis’s innocent, smiling face, and couldn’t help but laugh too.
From that day on, Dad learned a valuable lesson: when Super Cubis is awake, sleeping in is no longer an option—and mornings are guaranteed to be hilarious.
