Lala takes care of herself when Mom doesn’t come to take care of her!

It was early morning when Lala woke up, expecting to hear her mom’s familiar footsteps. Usually, Mom would come in with a smile, brush Lala’s hair, and help her get ready for the day. But this morning was different—Mom didn’t come. The house was unusually quiet, and Lala’s big, curious eyes blinked as she realized she was on her own.

For a moment, she looked around, a little confused. Then, instead of crying, Lala took a deep breath and decided to do everything herself. First, she climbed out of bed, straightened her blanket neatly, and went to wash her face. The water was cold, and she giggled softly as it splashed on her cheeks.

Next came breakfast. Lala carefully opened the fridge, searching for something easy to prepare. She spotted a banana and a small cup of yogurt—perfect! Sitting at the table, she ate quietly, her little hands clumsy but determined. Each bite made her feel a bit prouder.

After breakfast, Lala brushed her hair with slow, careful strokes. She looked into the mirror and smiled at her reflection. “Mom will be so proud,” she whispered. She even tidied up her toys and arranged her favorite stuffed animals in a neat row, just the way Mom liked it.

When Mom finally returned, she found Lala sitting peacefully, coloring in her notebook. The sight made her eyes fill with tears—her little girl had managed everything on her own. Lala looked up, her face lighting up with joy. “Mommy! I did it all by myself!”

Mom hugged her tightly, both proud and touched by Lala’s independence. That day, Lala learned something very special—she was capable of so much more than she thought.

From then on, whenever Mom was busy, Lala wasn’t afraid anymore. She knew how to care for herself with patience, love, and a brave little heart.
