Lala helps Mom harvest vegetables for the ducklings to eat!

The morning sun shone softly over the garden, and Lala woke up full of energy. Today was a special day — Mom had promised they would harvest fresh vegetables for the little ducklings! Lala quickly put on her straw hat, slipped into her tiny boots, and hurried outside with a bright smile.

In the garden, rows of green lettuce, spinach, and crisp cucumbers sparkled with dew. The ducklings waddled nearby, quacking excitedly as if they already knew what was coming. “Mom, they’re hungry!” Lala laughed as one brave duckling nibbled at her bootlace.

Mom smiled warmly. “Then let’s get to work, Lala. We’ll pick the freshest vegetables for them.” Together they began harvesting. Lala carefully plucked the soft lettuce leaves while Mom gathered spinach and tiny carrots. The basket slowly filled with bright greens and sweet orange roots. Lala loved how the garden smelled — earthy, clean, and full of life.

“Look, Mom! This one’s huge!” Lala said proudly, holding up a big cucumber. Mom chuckled. “That’s perfect for the ducklings. They’ll love it.” Lala placed it gently into the basket and wiped her forehead, feeling proud of her hard work.

After filling their baskets, they went to the small pond where the ducklings waited. Lala helped Mom wash the vegetables with cool water, then chopped them into tiny pieces. As soon as they began feeding, the ducklings rushed forward, quacking happily and flapping their little wings.

Lala giggled. “They really like it! Look at them eat!” One duckling even tried to grab a piece straight from her hand, making her laugh even more. Mom smiled at the joyful scene. “You see, Lala, when we take care of them with love, they grow healthy and strong.”

When the ducklings finished eating, they cuddled together for a nap under a tree. Lala watched them with gentle eyes, her heart full. Helping Mom that morning had taught her something special — that love and care could start from something as simple as harvesting vegetables for hungry ducklings.

It was a beautiful day in their little farm of kindness.
