Cubis Can’t Wait Patiently for Dad to Buy Breakfast!

The morning sun had just begun to rise, painting the sky in soft shades of gold and pink. Little Cubis, the mischievous monkey, was already wide awake, his tummy rumbling loudly. It was breakfast time — his favorite part of the day! Dad had gone out to buy his favorite treats, and Cubis was supposed to wait quietly at home. But patience was never one of Cubis’s strengths.

He paced back and forth, glancing at the door every few seconds. “Where is Dad? He’s taking forever!” he mumbled, clutching his tiny stomach dramatically. The smell of food drifting in from the street made things even worse. His imagination began to run wild — warm pancakes, sweet bananas, maybe even a bit of honey! The more he thought about it, the hungrier he became.

Cubis tried to distract himself. First, he played with his toy drum, then climbed onto the window ledge to peek outside. Every time someone walked past, his eyes lit up, only to fall in disappointment when he didn’t see Dad. “Ugh!” he sighed, flopping onto the couch.

Then came a rustling sound from the gate. Cubis jumped up instantly, pressing his face against the window. It was Dad — finally! In Dad’s hands were two paper bags filled with steaming breakfast. Cubis couldn’t contain his excitement. He raced to the door, hopping from one foot to the other as Dad stepped inside.

“Someone’s hungry, huh?” Dad laughed, handing Cubis his portion. Without waiting, Cubis grabbed his food — a warm banana sandwich and a little carton of milk. The first bite made him squeal with joy. “So good, Dad! Worth the wait!”

Dad smiled, ruffling Cubis’s fur. “See? Good things come to those who wait.”

Cubis giggled with a full mouth. “Next time, maybe I’ll try to wait… but just a little!”

The two shared breakfast together, laughter filling the cozy morning air — a simple moment, but one that showed the sweetest bond between a loving dad and his impatient, adorable little monkey. ❤️
