Lyly, are you okay??? Monkey Lyly was regretting and sleeping soundly in her basket of old things

Lyly had always been a playful little monkey, full of curiosity and endless energy. But today was different. After a small mistake—one that made her mom gently scold her—Lyly’s bright spirit seemed dimmed. She shuffled quietly to her favorite corner, a basket filled with old clothes and worn-out things that smelled of comfort and home. Curling up inside, she buried her face in the soft fabric, her tiny chest rising and falling with heavy sighs.

Her mom noticed the sudden silence. Usually, Lyly would chatter or tug at her sleeve, asking for snacks or cuddles. But now, the basket was still, except for the gentle sound of Lyly’s breathing. “Lyly, are you okay???” Mom whispered, kneeling beside her.

The little monkey stirred but didn’t open her eyes. It was as if she was replaying her mistake in her dreams, her small heart weighed down with regret. The scolding had been light, just a reminder, but for Lyly, it felt big. Sensitive and tender, she hated disappointing the person she loved most.

Mom reached into the basket, stroking Lyly’s back softly. “It’s alright, sweetheart. Everyone makes mistakes. What matters is that you learn.” At those words, Lyly shifted slightly, pressing closer to the warmth of the old clothes, her tiny fingers clutching a piece of fabric like a child holding onto hope.

Sleep soon overtook her, deep and peaceful, as if her little body had decided rest was the best medicine for her heavy heart. Seeing her like that, Mom’s own heart softened even more. She kissed Lyly’s head gently, deciding that when she woke up, there would be forgiveness, play, and laughter waiting.

For now, the basket of old things was more than just a pile of cloth—it was a cradle of comfort, a safe place where regret slowly melted into dreams. And in her sleep, Monkey Lyly found the strength to start fresh again.
