Mom… Lyly is Hungry! Monkey Lyly Makes a Mess in Mom’s Kitchen Because of Hunger and Mom’s Reaction

The morning sun streamed through the window, but Monkey Lyly wasn’t interested in playing outside. Her little belly rumbled loudly, reminding her she hadn’t had breakfast yet. She looked around for Mom, but Mom was busy folding laundry in the other room.

“Mom… Lyly is hungry!” she called out in her squeaky little voice. But when no one came right away, Lyly decided she couldn’t wait another minute. She marched into the kitchen, determined to feed herself.

Climbing onto a chair, Lyly spotted a basket of bananas on the counter. “Perfect!” she thought. But when she tried to grab one, the basket tipped, sending bananas tumbling to the floor. Not satisfied, Lyly opened a cupboard, pulling out a jar of peanut butter. With her tiny hands, she dipped her fingers right in, smearing it across her cheeks as much as the bread she had dragged out.

Next came the cereal box. She tipped it upside down, spilling flakes everywhere, then happily crunched a few in her mouth. Soon the kitchen looked like a hurricane had passed through—bananas on the floor, peanut butter smears on the table, and cereal scattered like confetti.

That was when Mom walked in. She froze in the doorway, her eyes wide in shock. “Lyly!” she exclaimed. “What on earth happened here?”

Lyly turned toward her, cheeks puffed with banana and peanut butter, crumbs clinging to her fur. She gave Mom the most innocent look she could manage and whispered, “Mom… Lyly is hungry.”

For a moment, Mom tried to stay stern, but the sight was too funny. She burst into laughter, shaking her head. “Oh, Lyly, you silly monkey. Next time, just wait—I’ll make you something delicious.”

Mom cleaned up the mess while Lyly sat at the table, finally given a proper breakfast. With every bite, Lyly’s eyes sparkled, and she promised—though not very convincingly—not to raid the kitchen again.
