It’s a cold and rainy night 😫

The rain had been falling since late afternoon, and by the time night arrived, the world outside was completely soaked. The sound of raindrops tapping against the windows was constant, broken only by the occasional roll of thunder in the distance. It wasn’t just a light drizzle—it was the kind of heavy downpour that made the streets glisten and the air feel sharp with cold.

Inside, the atmosphere was much different. The heater hummed softly, and warm blankets were stacked on the couch, waiting to be wrapped around someone who needed comfort. Still, the chill of the night seemed to seep through the walls, making it impossible to forget the storm outside.

For many, nights like this are cozy and peaceful, a reason to stay in, sip on something warm, and enjoy the sound of the rain as background music. But for others, the gloomy weather feels heavy, almost unbearable. The dark skies, the endless pounding of the rain, and the dampness in the air can stir up feelings of restlessness.

It was exactly that kind of night—too cold, too wet, and too long. Even simple things like stepping outside for a moment seemed impossible. The idea of walking in the rain, with clothes sticking to the skin and shoes squishing with every step, was enough to make anyone frown.

Yet, in the middle of the frustration, there was a small comfort. The rain, despite its inconvenience, had its own beauty. It washed away the dust, nourished the ground, and created a rhythm that was strangely calming if one chose to listen. Wrapped in a blanket, watching the rain streak down the glass, there was a reminder that storms never last forever.

Yes, it’s a cold and rainy night 😫—but sometimes those nights are exactly what we need. They give us permission to slow down, to rest, and to find warmth not just in blankets, but in the little moments of peace that can only be found when the world outside is too stormy to move.
