Lyly… Are you okay? Monkey Lyly can’t believe the kitten found its mother.

Monkey Lyly was lounging by the window one quiet afternoon when she heard a faint sound. Her ears perked up, and she tilted her head in curiosity. Meow… meow… The tiny cry of a kitten echoed outside. Without hesitation, Lyly hurried to investigate.

Behind a bush near the garden, she found a small, trembling kitten all alone. Its fur was messy, its eyes wide with fear. Lyly’s heart melted instantly. “Oh no, little one, where’s your mama?” she whispered, gently scooping the kitten into her arms.

Lyly carried the baby inside, determined to comfort it. She wrapped the kitten in a soft cloth, stroked its tiny back, and even offered it a warm saucer of milk. Yet even as the kitten settled in her lap, Lyly couldn’t stop worrying. “What if its mother never comes back? What if it has no family?” The thought made her chest tighten.

All day, Lyly kept watch. She peeked out the window, scanned the garden, and listened carefully for any signs. Just as the sun began to set, she heard it—another cry, deeper and louder this time. Lyly rushed outside with the kitten in her arms.

To her amazement, a mother cat appeared at the edge of the yard, eyes wide with worry as she searched for her baby. The moment the kitten heard her voice, it wriggled free from Lyly’s arms and ran as fast as its little legs could carry it. The reunion was instant and beautiful—the mother cat licked her baby all over, purring with relief.

Lyly stood frozen, her mouth wide open in shock. “You… you found your mom?” she murmured, hardly able to believe it. Her eyes filled with happy tears as she watched the two curl up together.

Though a little sad to see the kitten leave her care, Lyly felt warmth spread through her heart. She had witnessed something precious: the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child.
