Lala showed an unpleasant attitude and refused the food Mom cooked!

Lala usually loves mealtime. She’s the kind of little monkey who will rush to the table the moment she hears Mom’s call, eyes sparkling at the sight of her favorite dishes. But today was different. When Mom set down a warm plate of food, carefully prepared with love, Lala wrinkled her nose and crossed her arms.

“Lala, it’s your favorite vegetables and rice,” Mom said gently, sliding the dish closer. But instead of digging in, Lala turned her head away with a dramatic sigh. Her eyes narrowed, and she let out a huff as if the food had suddenly turned into something unpleasant.

Mom was surprised. She had spent the whole afternoon making sure everything was cooked perfectly. “What’s wrong, Lala? Why don’t you want to eat?” she asked.

But Lala refused to answer. She pouted, drummed her fingers on the table, and wore the unmistakable expression of defiance. Her behavior filled the kitchen with tension. Even the family dog, sitting nearby, tilted his head in confusion at her attitude.

Finally, Mom crouched down to meet Lala’s eyes. “Sweetheart, sometimes we won’t always get exactly what we want. But showing an unpleasant attitude isn’t kind—especially when someone has worked hard to make something for you.”

Lala shifted in her seat, realizing Mom’s words carried truth. She hadn’t thought about the effort behind the food. She had only been upset because she was hoping for something sweeter, like fruit or dessert. Her little heart softened as she looked at Mom, who was still patiently waiting for her.

With a small sigh, Lala picked up her spoon and took a bite. The food wasn’t so bad after all—in fact, it was delicious. A smile crept across her face, and the room filled with warmth again.

Mom smiled back. “See? A good attitude makes everything taste better.”

That day, Lala learned that gratitude could turn even the simplest meal into something wonderful.
