Monkey Lyly is usually full of confidence—swinging through branches, chattering happily, and showing off her little tricks to anyone who will watch. But one afternoon, something unexpected happened that left her red-faced with embarrassment.
After a long play session, Lyly suddenly froze in her spot. A tiny accident had happened—she had pooped! Instead of laughing it off like she normally would with her silly antics, Lyly’s little ears lowered, and she quickly scooted herself into a corner. Her eyes peeked out nervously, and she wrapped her tiny arms around herself as if trying to disappear.
Her mom, of course, noticed right away. With gentle steps, she approached, ready to clean her little one and comfort her. But Lyly shook her head furiously and turned away, covering her face with both hands. She wouldn’t let her mom come anywhere near her!
It was as if Lyly thought that if she hid long enough, no one would notice what had happened. Every time her mom reached out, Lyly shuffled further away, squeaking softly in embarrassment. It was both adorable and a little funny—this usually bold little monkey was suddenly the shyest creature in the world.
Her mom, however, knew just what to do. Instead of forcing her, she sat nearby and spoke in soft, reassuring tones. She gently reminded Lyly that accidents happen and there was nothing to be ashamed of. Slowly but surely, Lyly peeked out from behind her hands. Her big eyes searched her mom’s face for signs of frustration, but all she saw was love.
Finally, with a deep little sigh, Lyly allowed her mom to come closer. As her mom cleaned her up and gave her a warm hug, Lyly realized she didn’t need to hide. Accidents happen—but love never changes.
From then on, Lyly learned that even in her most embarrassing moments, she could always count on her mom to be there—patient, gentle, and full of love.
