Cubis the monkey always loved following his dad around the house, copying every little thing he did. Whether it was brushing his teeth, sipping coffee, or pretending to read the newspaper, Cubis had to be involved. But one day, Dad decided it was time to tackle the laundry—and that’s when things got really interesting.
The sight of Dad sorting clothes caught Cubis’ attention immediately. He waddled over, picked up a sock, and studied it like it was the most important object in the world. Then, in the most serious little face, he began imitating Dad—placing socks in one pile, shirts in another. Except Cubis’ version of “sorting” meant mixing underwear with towels and stuffing T-shirts under the couch.
Dad couldn’t stop laughing as Cubis grabbed a pair of pants and proudly tried to fold them. Instead of a neat fold, Cubis rolled the pants into a tight ball, hugged it, and dropped it into the laundry basket like a prize. The more Dad tried to show him the right way, the more Cubis added his own flair.
When it was time to move the clothes to the washing machine, Cubis insisted on helping. He tugged on a shirt with all his strength, nearly falling backward into the basket. After several dramatic attempts, he finally managed to shove it inside. Feeling victorious, he clapped his little hands and let out a squeal.
But the best part came at the very end. While Dad turned away for just a moment, Cubis decided to add one “special” item into the washer—his favorite stuffed toy! By the time Dad noticed, Cubis had already slammed the door shut and pressed random buttons on the machine. The look of pure joy on his face was priceless, while Dad stood there shaking his head, laughing so hard he couldn’t even be upset.
