It was late evening when a man noticed a frail, skinny cat curled up in the corner of an alley. She looked exhausted, her fur dull and matted, and beside her were three tiny kittens, mewling softly for their mother’s comfort. The sight broke his heart—she was clearly struggling to keep them alive, and yet, her tired eyes stayed fixed on her babies with fierce determination.
Without hesitation, the man scooped them up and carried them home. He made a small nest from blankets, gave the mother cat fresh water and food, and watched as she devoured the meal hungrily. The kittens, too young to eat on their own, nestled against their mother, finally nursing with relief. For the first time in days, the little family was safe.
Over the next week, the man cared for them like his own. He bought kitten milk, vitamins for the mother, and even stayed up late into the night to make sure they were warm. She started following the man around the house, rubbing against his legs, purring loudly each time he came close.
