Little Cubis is usually the happiest monkey in the family. He loves cuddles, snacks, and most of all—his dad. Wherever Dad goes, Cubis follows like a tiny shadow. But on this particular morning, their bond was put to the test in the funniest way.
Dad had just come back with a basket of fresh fruit, and as always, Cubis was eager to see what treasures were inside. He bounced excitedly, clapping his little hands and squeaking with joy. Bananas, papayas, and even some sweet mangoes—all Cubis’s favorites. But just as Cubis reached for the biggest banana, Dad did something that completely shocked him—he took it for himself!
The little monkey froze. His eyes widened, his tiny lips puckered, and then, in a burst of indignation, he let out a loud screech. How could Dad betray him like this? That banana was clearly meant for him! With a dramatic huff, Cubis crossed his arms tightly across his chest, turned his back to Dad, and refused to even look at him.
Dad tried to calm him down, offering another banana, but Cubis wasn’t having it. He shoved the fruit away with a little growl and stomped his feet, showing everyone just how angry he was. The whole family couldn’t stop laughing at his exaggerated sulking. His pouty face, his puffed-up cheeks, and the way he sat stubbornly in the corner made him look like a tiny grumpy old man.
But, of course, Cubis’s anger didn’t last long. Dad finally peeled another banana, this time handing it over with a smile. The moment Cubis took his first bite, his mood completely changed. His frown melted into a cheeky grin, and he snuggled back into Dad’s arms as if nothing had happened.
It turned out, Cubis wasn’t really mad—he just wanted to make sure everyone knew that the best banana in the basket should always belong to him. And with that lesson learned, Dad promised to let Cubis have first pick from now on.
