It started on a sunny Saturday morning when Lala spotted her mother unpacking the hair-cutting kit. Mom was planning to trim her own hair, but the moment Lala saw the shiny scissors and comb, her eyes lit up.
“Moooom!” she whined dramatically, dragging out the word like it was a matter of life and death. “Cut my hair too! I need a beauty spa day!”
Mom laughed. “A beauty spa day, huh? Didn’t you just get a haircut last month?”
Lala shook her head furiously, her hair bouncing around her cheeks. “That was forever ago. I’m a mess! Look at me!” She ran to the mirror and pulled silly faces, fluffing her hair until it stood up like a cartoon character.
Unable to resist Lala’s antics, Mom finally gave in. She set up a little “salon station” in the living room, complete with a towel around Lala’s shoulders and a small spray bottle of water. Lala sat proudly in the chair, pretending to be a VIP client.
As Mom sprayed her hair, Lala closed her eyes and sighed loudly. “Ahhh, this is the life. I’m at the fanciest spa in the world!” She even started making fake small talk like she’d seen in movies. “So, how’s business these days?” she asked, trying to sound grown-up.
When the scissors started snipping, Lala stayed perfectly still… for about three seconds. Then she began giggling, wiggling, and occasionally striking poses for the “imaginary camera.” Mom kept reminding her, “Hold still or you’ll get a funny haircut!” which only made Lala laugh harder.
Once the haircut was done, Mom decided to go all out—she gave Lala a gentle face massage, brushed her hair into a cute style, and even added a tiny flower clip.
Lala raced to the mirror and gasped. “Oh. My. Goodness. I look AMAZING!” she declared, spinning in place like a runway model.
The rest of the day, she pranced around the house, telling everyone, “Excuse me, have you noticed my new hair? I just came from the spa!”
Mom could only shake her head, laughing. With Lala, even a simple haircut was a comedy show.
