Lala’s eyes sparkled with excitement the moment Mom told her they were heading to Bon’s Beauty Spa. It wasn’t just any visit—today, Mom needed an extra pair of “little hands” to help out, and Lala was more than ready for the challenge. She had always loved watching the magic happen at the spa: the soft music, the fragrant scents of essential oils, and the way customers left with smiles that seemed to light up the whole room.
As soon as they arrived, Lala put on a tiny pink apron—Bon had made it just for her. “Alright, assistant,” Mom smiled, “let’s get to work.” Lala’s first task was greeting customers at the door. She bowed politely and offered each guest a warm “Welcome to Bon’s!” that made them laugh and melt instantly.
Next, Mom taught her how to gently hand over fresh towels and prepare bowls for foot soaks. Lala took her role seriously, carrying them like they were made of gold. She even sprinkled a few rose petals into the water, giggling as the petals danced across the surface. The customers adored her enthusiasm, and Bon whispered to Mom, “She’s a natural!”
During lunch break, Lala sat with Mom in the back room, munching on sandwiches and sipping sweet tea. “Helping is hard work,” she sighed dramatically, making Mom laugh. But she was far from done—afternoon appointments meant more action.
She carefully arranged nail polish bottles in a rainbow order, swept tiny bits of hair after trims, and even learned how to fold warm, fluffy towels just like Mom. Each time she completed a task, she stood a little taller, proud of being trusted with “grown-up jobs.”
By closing time, Lala was tired but glowing with joy. As they walked home, she clutched her apron, already dreaming of her next “shift” at Bon’s. “Mom,” she said softly, “I think I want to work at the spa forever.”
Mom smiled, holding her hand. “With your kindness and care, sweetheart, you’ll make any place more beautiful.”
It had been a busy day, but for Lala, it was also the start of something truly special.
