Cubis monkey cries and demands to see Dad!

Cubis, the little monkey, was usually full of playful energy—jumping, climbing, and finding mischief wherever he could. But this morning was different. His face looked unusually serious, his eyes watery and wide. From the moment he woke up, he began letting out loud, pitiful cries that echoed through the house. It didn’t take long for everyone to realize—Cubis wasn’t just fussing. He was demanding something important.

“Dad! Dad!” his cries seemed to say, as he stomped his tiny feet and tugged at the hands of anyone who came near. He refused to be distracted with treats or toys, pushing them aside as if nothing could matter until he got what he wanted. His little voice was filled with longing, and his tail twitched impatiently.

It had been a few days since Cubis had last seen his dad, who had been away working. Usually, Cubis would find ways to entertain himself until Dad came home. But today, his patience had worn thin. Every sound from outside—whether it was the wind rustling leaves or a passing car—made him perk up, thinking it might be the moment his dad returned. Each time it wasn’t, his cries grew louder and more determined.

His mom tried to comfort him, gently stroking his fur and speaking softly, but Cubis would only bury his face in her arms and shake his head. He wanted Dad, and nothing else would do. Even his favorite snack couldn’t cheer him up.

Finally, the sound of footsteps approached from outside. Cubis froze, his ears perking up, his eyes shining with sudden hope. When the door opened and Dad stepped in, Cubis let out the loudest, happiest cry of the day. In an instant, he bounded across the room, leaping straight into Dad’s arms.

The tears were gone now, replaced by joyful squeaks and cuddles. Dad laughed, holding Cubis close as if he’d never let go. It was clear—no matter how many toys or treats Cubis had, nothing could replace the comfort of being with the one he missed most. And from that day on, everyone knew—when Cubis wanted Dad, the whole world could wait.
