Bath time was supposed to be simple. The water was warm, the bubbles were just right, and Auntie even had Cubis’s favorite rubber ducky floating in the tub. But the moment Cubis heard the words “Okay, time for your bath,” his eyes widened, and you could practically hear the gears turning in his little monkey brain.
He took one look at the tub… and bolted.
With lightning speed, Cubis leapt off the counter, scampered across the room, and vanished under the bed. Auntie, already holding the shampoo bottle, sighed and muttered, “Not again.” The game was on.
Footage from the living room camera caught Cubis zipping through the house like a tiny furry tornado—first under the couch, then behind the curtains, and finally, hilariously, inside the laundry basket. He poked his head out, squeaked, and dove back in like it was his personal fortress.
Auntie followed with a towel in one hand and a trail of banana slices in the other, hoping to lure him back. “Come on, Cubis, you’ll smell like mango shampoo!” she coaxed, trying not to laugh. He peeked out, tempted by the bananas, but the moment her hand got close—zoom!—he was off again, this time climbing onto the kitchen counter and knocking over a sponge in his great escape.
Eventually, after 15 minutes of hide-and-seek chaos, Auntie outsmarted him with a trick: she pretended to run the bath for herself. Curiosity got the better of Cubis. He tiptoed over, peered inside, and before he knew it—swoosh!—Auntie scooped him up.
The bath itself? Lots of splashing, squealing, and one very foamy Cubis who eventually gave in and started enjoying the warm water.
Afterward, wrapped in a towel like a little burrito, he looked up at Auntie with a sheepish grin, as if to say, “Okay… maybe that wasn’t so bad.”
