It was a sunny afternoon when little Lala spotted someone new across the street. A young pup with big curious eyes and a wagging tail stood near the fence, watching everyone with caution. Lala, ever the warm-hearted greeter of the block, tilted her head, gave a gentle bark, and wagged her tail with excitement. A new friend had arrived, and that could only mean one thing—playtime!
With her usual cheerful bounce, Lala trotted over, careful not to scare the newcomer. “Hi! I’m Lala!” she seemed to say with her wag and welcoming sniff. The new pup, a bit shy but clearly interested, slowly stepped forward. His name was Miko, and he had just moved in with his family the night before.
Lala didn’t waste any time. She showed Miko the best stick in the yard, introduced him to the squeaky squirrel toy, and even did her special spin-dance to make him smile. Miko’s tail slowly began to wag as he realized that Lala was a true friend—and possibly the most fun dog he’d ever met!
After some sniffing, tail wags, and a gentle game of chase, Lala looked back at her house and barked excitedly. She was inviting Miko over! With a little encouragement from his humans, Miko followed Lala through the gate and into her cozy backyard.
There, the real fun began. They raced from one corner to the next, tumbled through the grass, and shared water from the same bowl. Lala even showed Miko her secret dig spot, where a half-buried tennis ball had been hiding for weeks!
By the end of the day, Miko was no longer the “new pup.” Thanks to Lala’s kindness and enthusiasm, he already felt like family. As the sun set, both pups lay side by side, panting happily. It was the start of a beautiful friendship, and it all began with a simple, friendly invitation. ❤️🐾
