What a difference a day makes! After a few rough days filled with worry and endless cuddles, we’re so happy to say that Chooch is doing much better today. His eyes are brighter, his tail’s wagging again, and he’s back to being the goofy, lovable ball of energy we all know and adore.
Yesterday, things felt heavy. He wasn’t himself—no appetite, no excitement, barely lifting his head when we called his name. But we followed all the vet’s instructions, kept him warm and hydrated, and gave him the space and comfort he needed to rest and heal. And this morning? He surprised us all! He got up with a little bounce in his step, trotted over for breakfast, and even gave a few playful nudges like, “Hey, I’m back!”
Seeing him eat his food with enthusiasm and trot around the house again felt like winning the lottery. He even brought over his favorite toy—yes, the chewed-up ducky that’s been through everything with him—and flopped down beside us, ready to play. It’s those little things that tell us he’s truly on the mend.
To everyone who sent love, checked in, and kept Chooch in your thoughts—thank you. Seriously. Your support means the world. It’s crazy how much comfort comes from knowing people care about your fur baby just as much as you do.
For now, we’re taking it slow. He’s still recovering, so we’re not letting him overdo it. But the worst seems behind us, and that cloud of worry is finally starting to lift.
So yeah—Chooch is much better today. All good, gang. Thanks for being part of this little journey with us. We’ll keep you posted, but for now, we’re going to snuggle up and enjoy this happy, peaceful moment. 🐾💛
