This morning started like any other—birds chirping, the sun shining, and little Pupu bouncing around the house full of energy. But when Mom leaned down to give him his usual good-morning kiss, she suddenly paused. “Wait… what’s that?” she asked, peering into his mouth. To her surprise, Pupu’s little white teeth were stained black!
At first, she thought maybe it was a shadow or just the lighting, but after a closer look, there was no doubt about it—his teeth really were black! Mom gasped, confused and slightly worried. “Pupu! What did you eat?!” she asked, inspecting his face and paws. Pupu just looked up at her innocently, wagging his tail like nothing was wrong.
She rushed to check the living room, kitchen, and even the backyard. Then it hit her—last night, Pupu had snuck into the trash can for a “midnight snack.” And there it was… the remains of a squashed black jelly candy and some charcoal crackers someone had thrown away. Mystery solved! Pupu’s new “black teeth” weren’t permanent—they were just the result of a mischievous snack adventure.
Mom couldn’t stop laughing once she figured it out. Pupu sat proudly on the carpet, thinking he had done something amazing. His goofy grin, now covered in dark stains, made him look like a little gremlin. Mom grabbed her phone and snapped a photo, already imagining the funny captions she could write: “When you eat mystery snacks and now you’re part raccoon!”
After a good tooth brushing and some dog-safe toothpaste, Pupu’s bright little smile returned. But the memory of those black teeth would stay with Mom forever. It was one of those hilarious, head-scratching moments only Pupu could create.
One thing’s for sure—Mom will be locking the trash can from now on. And Pupu? Well, he’ll probably still find a way to keep everyone laughing.
