Caught Red-Handed: Cubis Monkey Tries to Steal Money from Dad!

It was just another peaceful afternoon when Dad stepped out to water the garden, leaving his wallet sitting on the coffee table. What he didn’t know was that a pair of curious eyes had already locked onto the colorful bills peeking out of the wallet—Cubis Monkey had spotted them from across the room. With his little paws twitching and his tail flicking with excitement, Cubis tiptoed his way toward the wallet like a seasoned spy on a secret mission.

Creeping closer, he looked around to make sure no one was watching. He glanced left, then right—clear! With great stealth, he opened the wallet flap and carefully reached in, grabbing hold of a crinkly dollar bill. His little face lit up with mischief as he pulled it out ever so slowly. But just as he was about to make his escape, a voice rang out.

“Cubis! What are you doing?!”

Busted. Dad had walked back in at just the right (or wrong) time. Cubis froze like a statue, the dollar bill still in his paw, his wide eyes staring at Dad like a deer caught in headlights. His lips puckered into a dramatic pout, as if to say, “I wasn’t doing anything!”

Dad couldn’t help but burst out laughing. “Are you trying to start your own business, little guy?”

Cubis quickly dropped the bill and ran to the corner, sulking like a child caught sneaking cookies before dinner. He crossed his arms and turned his back, as if offended that his brilliant plan had been interrupted.

Later, Dad sat down with Cubis and gave him a gentle talk about honesty. Of course, Cubis didn’t understand every word, but he seemed to listen, nodding and blinking with curiosity. Eventually, he jumped onto Dad’s lap, offering a soft cuddle as a silent apology.

From now on, Dad keeps his wallet out of sight—and Cubis? He’s back to sneaking bananas instead of bills!
