Sweet little Lala, usually full of energy and joy, had a completely different look on her face today. Her eyes were filled with sadness, and her body language showed she was upset. Why? Because she misunderstood something very important. When Thuy left the house early in the morning without saying goodbye, Lala thought she had been abandoned.
Lala didn’t know that Thuy had only stepped out for a short errand. She had to pick up groceries and run to the market, but she couldn’t take Lala along this time. For the little monkey who had always been by Thuy’s side—from morning routines to evening cuddles—this sudden change felt like heartbreak.
Lala waited by the door for hours, peeking out the window, her face growing more confused and upset with every minute. She didn’t touch her favorite fruit, and she even pushed away her toys. Her sadness slowly turned into anger. She sulked in a corner, arms crossed, making soft little noises as if she was scolding Thuy in her own language.
When Thuy returned home, cheerful and calling out to Lala, she was shocked to find her baby girl not running to greet her. Instead, Lala turned her back with a pout! Thuy knelt down, gently calling her, explaining where she had gone and showing her the bananas she had bought especially for her. But Lala stayed stubborn—until Thuy scooped her up in her arms and whispered softly, “I would never leave you, silly girl.”
Only then did Lala’s expression melt. She looked up at Thuy, eyes glistening, and slowly wrapped her little arms around her neck. It was clear—Lala had missed her more than anything and was just scared.
Now that the misunderstanding is cleared, Lala’s smile has returned. But one thing is for sure: next time, Thuy will definitely say goodbye, even if it’s just for a little while. Because for Lala, Thuy’s love is everything.
