After a long day of running around, climbing trees, and getting into a little mischief, Poki the monkey was clearly exhausted. His fur was dusty, his little feet were tired, and his energy had finally slowed down. That’s when his loving mom knew exactly what he needed—one of his favorite things in the world: a warm bath.
Mom gently scooped Poki up and carried him to the bathing area, where a shallow basin had already been filled with warm water. The steam rose softly, and the scent of mild herbal soap filled the air. Poki looked curious at first, as always, but once he dipped one little toe in the water, he let out a relaxed sigh. He remembered this soothing ritual well.
Slowly, Mom eased him into the water. Poki sat down and leaned back against her arm, his tiny hands resting gently in the water. His eyes began to close just a little, the comfort of the warmth sinking deep into his tired muscles. Mom began to wash him gently, pouring warm water over his back and carefully scrubbing his arms, legs, and tummy. Poki barely moved, clearly enjoying every second of it.
At one point, he reached up to touch her face with a soft, thankful pat. It was his way of saying, “I love this. Thank you, Mom.” She smiled, kissed the top of his head, and continued washing him with care and tenderness.
After the bath, Mom wrapped Poki in a soft towel and held him close. His eyes were drooping now, almost asleep. His little body was warm and clean, and he felt completely safe. The bath had done its magic—relaxing his body and soothing his playful spirit.
Moments like this are small but powerful, full of love, care, and trust. For Poki, there’s nothing better than ending a day wrapped in warmth, surrounded by the comfort of his mother’s arms.
