Poor Poki, Pupu Went to Get Milk Because Poki Looked Skinny

Poki was the smallest pup in the neighborhood. With his soft brown fur and big round eyes, he was loved by everyone, but lately, something wasn’t right. He had grown thin—so thin that his little ribs showed through his coat. His energy was low, and he spent most of his days curled up in the corner, too tired to play.

Pupu, his older sister and best friend, noticed immediately. Poki wasn’t chasing butterflies like he used to or barking happily when the mailman came. She grew more worried with each passing day. One morning, as Poki lay weakly under the shade of a tree, Pupu made up her mind. She had to help him. She had heard the humans talk about milk being good for strength, and though they didn’t have any at home, she knew where she could find some.

Without telling Poki, Pupu set off on a mission. The sun was rising, and the streets were already busy. The journey wasn’t easy. Pupu had to cross a busy road, sneak through fences, and dodge angry cats. But she was determined. All she could think about was Poki’s tired face and how happy he would be if he had something delicious to drink.

Eventually, Pupu reached a small market. She sat patiently outside a dairy shop, her eyes fixed on the man behind the counter. When he noticed her, he smiled. She had been there before, and he remembered how sweet she was. Feeling sorry for her, he poured a little milk into a shallow dish and placed it outside. Pupu barked softly in gratitude, then carefully carried the dish back home, step by step.

When she returned, Poki opened his eyes slowly. Pupu nudged the milk toward him, her tail wagging with excitement. Poki sniffed it, then began to drink slowly. A tiny smile spread across his tired face.

From that day on, Pupu made sure Poki had a little more to eat and drink. She stayed by his side every day. It wasn’t just milk that helped Poki heal—it was love.
