Monkey Lyly Poops in the Middle of the Night and Hesitates to Call Her Mom to Help Her

It was a quiet night in the jungle. The moonlight gently spilled through the leaves, and all the animals were fast asleep. But in a cozy little treehouse high above the ground, a young monkey named Lyly was tossing and turning in her hammock. Something didn’t feel right in her tummy.

With a sudden cramp and a panicked look, Lyly jumped up. “Oh no,” she whispered. “I really need to go.” She tiptoed to the corner of the treehouse where her little potty sat, but halfway there—oops! It was too late. Her face turned bright red as she realized what had just happened.

“I can clean it myself,” Lyly muttered, trying to stay brave. She grabbed some banana leaves and water, but the mess was bigger than she expected. She looked over at her mom, sound asleep in the hammock across the room. Should she wake her up?

Lyly stood frozen, torn between pride and needing help. “What if she gets mad?” she wondered. “What if she thinks I’m a baby?” Her tail twitched nervously. She had never had an accident like this before.

Finally, with a shaky voice, she called out, “Mama?”

Her mother stirred and sat up, rubbing her eyes. “Lyly? What’s wrong, sweetheart?”

“I… I had an accident,” Lyly admitted, tears welling up. “I tried to clean it, but…”

Mama Monkey was by her side in an instant. She hugged Lyly gently and smiled. “Oh, honey, accidents happen. I’m proud of you for trying to fix it—and even more for asking for help.”

Together, they cleaned up the mess. Mama even made a warm cup of banana milk to help Lyly settle down. “Next time, just wake me up right away,” she said kindly. “I’ll always be here for you.”

That night, Lyly fell back asleep feeling loved and safe, knowing that even in messy moments, her mama’s love never changed.
