High Fever of 40°C! Baby Monkey Pupu Was Sick and His Mom Took Special Care of Him

It was a quiet morning in the jungle when Baby Monkey Pupu woke up feeling strange. His head was heavy, his body ached, and he didn’t want to eat his favorite banana porridge. Mama Monkey gently touched his forehead and gasped. “Oh no, Pupu! You’re burning up!”

She quickly took out the thermometer and placed it under his arm. After a minute, the number appeared: 40°C.

“A high fever!” Mama whispered, worried. But she stayed calm. “Don’t worry, my little one. Mama’s here. I’ll take care of you.”

She laid Pupu on a soft bed of leaves, placing a cool wet cloth gently on his forehead. Pupu whimpered and turned restlessly. “Mama… I don’t feel good,” he said in a tiny voice.

“I know, sweetheart,” she replied, stroking his cheek. “Just rest. You need lots of sleep.”

Mama Monkey made sure he drank plenty of water and gave him some warm soup made from jungle herbs to help his fever go down. She sat beside him all day, fanning him softly with a banana leaf and singing lullabies.

When the sun began to set, Pupu’s fever was still high, but Mama stayed by his side. She didn’t leave even for a moment.

That night, Pupu finally fell into a deep sleep. Mama watched him carefully, changing the cloth on his forehead every hour. By morning, the fever began to drop.

When Pupu opened his eyes, he felt better. His body was no longer so heavy, and he could smile again.

“Mama?” he whispered.

“Yes, my love?” she said, smiling back.

“Thank you for taking care of me.”

Mama kissed his forehead gently. “That’s what mamas are for.”

From that day on, Pupu always remembered how Mama had stayed by his side through the worst night. And he promised to always take care of her too, just like she did for him—especially on days when she needed love the most.
