Lala is Sad and Confused When Her Clothes Are Tight and Torn!

Lala woke up feeling excited for the day. She had a picnic planned with her friends, and the sun was shining brightly outside. She went to her closet and pulled out her favorite outfit — a bright yellow dress with little blue flowers. It always made her feel cheerful.

But as she tried to put it on, something felt… wrong. The dress was tight. Too tight. She tugged at the sleeves, squirmed a little, and finally squeezed into it. But when she looked in the mirror, she gasped. The seams had split on the sides, and a small tear had appeared near the hem.

Lala’s face fell. “Why doesn’t it fit anymore?” she whispered sadly. She quickly tried on another outfit — a pair of jeans and her favorite purple top — but the same thing happened. Everything felt snug and uncomfortable.

Feeling confused and upset, Lala sat on her bed. “Did my clothes shrink in the wash?” she wondered aloud. “Or… did I grow?”

Just then, her older sister walked in and saw Lala’s torn dress. “Oh no, Lala,” she said kindly. “It looks like you’ve had a little growth spurt! That’s totally normal.”

Lala blinked. “You mean I’m getting taller?”

“Yes!” her sister smiled. “It happens to everyone. It just means you’re growing up.”

Lala still felt a little sad. She loved those clothes. But then her sister gave her a big hug and said, “Let’s go shopping for some new outfits that fit your new, taller self.”

Lala smiled through her tears. She still felt a little unsure, but she was also curious and excited. Maybe new clothes would be just as fun as her old ones — or even better!

So off they went, hand in hand, ready to embrace the changes with open hearts and a little laughter.
